Donor Privacy Policy

Service in Unity, Inc. is grateful for every gift. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our donors. This Donor Privacy Policy explains how we handle information you share when you donate. It follows widely recognized nonprofit standards, including the Donor Bill of Rights.
Information we collect from donors
When you make a donation, we or our payment processor collect information needed to process and acknowledge your gift, which may include your name, email address, mailing address, donation amount, and payment information.
Donations are processed through GiveButter, our third-party payment processor. Your full payment card details are handled by GiveButter under their security standards; we do not store your full card number on our systems.
How we use donor information
- To process your donation and provide a receipt;
- To thank you and keep you informed about our work, if you have opted in;
- To keep accurate financial and tax records required of a nonprofit; and
- To understand and improve our fundraising.
Our promise
- We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information. Ever.
- We do not share your information with other organizations for their own marketing.
- We share information only with service providers who help us process gifts and communicate with you, and only as needed to do that work.
- We honor requests to remain anonymous and to limit how often we contact you.
Your choices
You may ask us at any time to stop contacting you, to remain anonymous in donor listings, or to see, correct, or remove your information. Just email info@serviceinunity.org. Every email we send also includes an unsubscribe link.
Tax deductibility
Service in Unity, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We provide a receipt for your records. We are not able to give tax advice — please consult your own advisor.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Donor Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the effective date above when we do.
